The MED TEST II – Israel project, part of the SwitchMed program launched in 2009, builds on the results of the MED TEST I pilot initiative and in particular, on the UNIDO TEST methodology. The SWITCH-Med initiative is a regional multi-component programme funded by the EU, and implemented through collaborative efforts by the EU, UNIDO, and UNEP. Its overall objective is to facilitate the shift toward Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) in the Southern Mediterranean region by demonstrating successful examples of how this can be done.
Med Test II - Israel, which is run and coordinated by the Weitz Center, was launched at the beginning of the year 2015 and focuses on resource efficiency and cleaner production (RECP). As part of the project launch, the Weitz Center initiated a consortium of advisors which includes: Green Target, Sher Consulting and Training, Sustainability Foresight and Herzog, Fox & Neeman (HFN) law firm.
