Sammy Selanikio is the new intern at the Weitz Center

Sammy Selanikio, began his new intern at the Weitz Center for Developmental Studies this March. Coming from Miami, with a B.A. in Political Science from Florida International University, Sammy is on the WUJS Tel-Aviv internship program that placed him at the Weitz Center and shared some of his thoughts.

What is it like to work at the Weitz Center?

It's both amazing and fun. The people I work for are really great, the courses that they offer the students are really interesting, and the environment in general is pretty good.

                        What are the courses about?

Some of the courses that they offer, are about strategic planning and economic and rural development. They are made to help train people from other countries to help their populations. It's great to be a part of a place like this, where they focus on helping struggling and underdeveloped areas.

Do you have any goals for this internship?

I hope to gain as much experience and education from here as possible. The people who work here are great and easy going, so I plan to learn how they conduct their research, courses, and planning. I think its going to be an awesome experience.

What is it like to be living in Tel-Aviv?

Living in Tel-Aviv is pretty awesome, the WUJS program is amazing with the best coordinator, and I'm having a really good time.
