The Rehovot Conference 2010 came to an end.

Beforehand, we would like to thank all participants for contributing to this event, and for the successful results it produced. One hundred and eighty people, coming from thirty different countries attended the conference this year.

The first day of the Conference permitted us to enjoy high-level plenary sessions and a panel. We had the opportunity to gather together political personalities, experts, academics and professionals.

On the second day, participants took a more active role in the debate: Many of them shared presentations and led workshops that spanned a variety of issues related to inclusive sustainable development. The knowledge we gained will certainly bring us professionals to a new stage in our work.

The last day, we visited two projects carried out by JNF-KKL, notably a forested reserve developed to give access to disabled people. We also had the chance to visit the old city of Jerusalem. Finally, all participants were gathered together in a reception held by MASHAV, the Israeli Agency for International Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

For the Weitz Center, the event provided the opportunity to sign a cooperation agreement with the International Urban Training Center, represented by Prof. Kim Kwi-Gon from the Republic of Korea, and with the organization "Red de Protección Social para la Superación de la Extrema Pobreza – JUNTOS" from Colombia (to read more about the Memorandum of Understanding, please click HERE).

Following the conference, we look forward to keeping in contact and to develop further cooperation with our participants.
